Hello, Just joined the group 10 seconds ago. I don't actually own a Ranger, but I'm thinking about it. This may be an odd question: Do the rear seats in the extended cab provide any sort of child-seat tether attachment point? It's commonly known as a child-seat tether anchor. I don't see it mentioned in the sales brochure, and I haven't been inside a truck yet to look. At the very least, do those seats have seatbelts? Maybe the F150 or Explorer has the anchors, but I haven't looked at those. I don't really want a big truck; just something small with 4 seats, 4WD, and 4 letters on the tailigate: F-O-R-D. Any comments appreciated. --Andy

Just bought a 2002 Ranger XLT with the 4.0 and I love it. The only tether I'm aware of is in the front seat, middle. The back seats do have seatbelts. Maybe the reason the back seats don't have the tether is that they sit sideways. If you can put the kid up front, you'll love this truck. I haul a big quad all over Kansas in the back, no lack of power and it's quite comfortable too.

Hey everybody, I'm new to this and was wondering if I could get a little direction from the group. I own a 1992 ranger 2.3L 5 spd in good shape but want to improve it. I've always loved to tinker with cars but haven't really learned much beyond basic stuff. If anyone could suggest some good intro reading material to get me started that would be great.
