Good afternoon to you all

This is my first trek into this arena

Your advice would be valuable to me.

I purchased the S max in November 06 and have doen 14,000 miles. the clutch has gone together with the fly wheel. Have any of you experienced this with such a low mileage. This problem has cost me £1,200 or $2,500 many thansk

Joan

That seems very low mileage for the clutch to go. Mine went at about 48,000 miles in my Galaxy and it cost much the same as the price you quoted. What did the dealer say about the clutch going so soon?

Hi... not sure if anyone can help me!!

I have the same problem that Joan has experenced with her S-Max - My car has done the same amount of miles (14,500) and also needs a new clutch and fly wheel!! I'm really not happy as the car was bought 2 years ago ex demo, given what I paid for it I wasn't expecting to be spending £1,200 after 14,500 miles... the car is being used by my wife to take the kids to school and back hence the low miles so I wouldn't put this down to wear and tear!

Has anyone else had simular problems to their S-Max that could advice me on what I should do next.

Best,

Sean

seems like S Max clutch problems are common and expensive - Mine just failed (slipping) at 50K miles and have been quoted £1,000 to replace - My other car (not a Ford) has done 150k miles and still no clutch problems.

Has anyone had any luck with ford warranty?
