am new to the forum. I don't have any experience working with Ford's. My girlfriend has a 2004 Ford Escape and someone broke her passenger side mirror. I need to know have to remove the broken mirror to replace it. I just need to replace the mirror not the entire enclosure

You are very lucky if you only need to replace the mirror and not the whole thing. When it happened to my Galaxy I was told it was a sealed unit and I had to replace the whole thing, it cost a fortune. It is possible to replace just the mirror on my other car, it has a sticky backing and it just clips in.

I've no experience of those cars specifically, but normally you can just prize the mirror out with the back of a knife. I've used those double sided sticky foam pads to stick in the new glass before.

If you didn't get it fixed yet or were not happy with the mirror replacement, you can get a new mirror assembley from Certi-Fit for about $35.00.
