My 2002 CR-V right side headlight got a lot of moisture in there. Was is causing it? I couldn't find a crack anywhere. I am cotemplating on drilling a couple of holes to let the moistere to escape.

Thanks.

Drilling holes sounds a bit drastic. I presume there must be a way of getting at it because there must be a way to change the light bulbs. Could you follow the instructions in the manual to get in at it and drain it that way? It may be quite complicated, I know it is really hard to get at the headlights in my Galaxy. I would be a bit concerned about how the moisture got there and where else it could be. If you can't see any cracks or anything to explain it, I would be tempted to get your mechanic to have a look at it.

I'm not familiar with this particular car, but if you can't find obvious damage to the glass then it sounds like the rubber seal is leaking slightly. I've had real problems in the past with this on a different model, and eventually had to wait till summer when it evaporated naturally then tape over all the gaps. If it's a serious amount of water get it looked at, because you really don't want water getting into your electrics.

My tempo used to get water in the headlight. I couldn't find a leak until I took it out and noticed there was a slight crack in the seal between the light casing and the front panel. I know I am not using the right technical terms - sorry. Use a flashlight and see if you can find the leak. I would wait before drilling.

I too feel that there must be some leakage somewhere. It might be in the rubber seal or there must be a crack in the flashlight. So don't ignore it.Get it repaired very soon.
