I Have a '99 2.0 DOHC with 87k miles. The other day it was cold out when i went to start the car for the first time in 3 days. On the intial crank it "sputtered" and then easily started. Since then there has been an Idler pulley type noise/rattle, mostly noticed at idle. Tonight while heading in to work about 3/4 mile from the house it just died. The timing belt is not broken - dont know if it skipped, there is ample fuel and spark. Do I need to look at the cam sensor and how do i test it? And is this rattling noise coincidental? Also on this same car the battery light has been coming on intermittently -- more so in warmer weather vs. cold. When the light comes on there is only a 1/2 volt drop from 13.7v to 13.2v, how is this enough to trip the light?
