Hi all! Someone may have already asked this question but I did not see it.... We have an '87 with the 4 cylinder and a bad carburetor......I think it's bad....dose anyone know if an earlier year 2 barrel will fit that truck?....I realize that there are a lot of vacuum hoses going to this carburetor but it was a $550. truck and I looked for a rebuilt carburetor on the Internet at $400. and the truck is not worth a $400. carburetor.......so I was thinking maybe to swap to an earlier year......or a rebuild kit if this one will rebuild.... Look for a Nikki carburator out of a mazda. They're supposed to be easily rebuildable and i assume they work on the ranger. Frisbie
