Almost certainly a broken latch release pin. Same happened to me. Very common fault. Clive

Probably the latch has broken. This happened to me. I got a local guy to dismantle the door. He welded the latch but it broke again soon after, so I got another from the scrapyard. Clive

Try adjusting your striker (the hoop thing on the chassis, not the door. It is the part where the door latch grabs - the hoop). My door was out of alignment and I just adjusted it there.... Jeff
