Hi all,
I'm a newbie and I don't know much about vehicles. I'm posting hoping that any replies can help my DH fix our van. The van is an E350 econoline 15 passenger. We have 10 children (6 at home) and we need the larger van to go places in one vehicle. It began when we started having problems with the van ie it would take 10-30 minutes for the fuel pump to load and be able to start the van. We thought it was the fuel pump going out, so he replaced the fuel pump in both the front and back tanks. We are still having the problem. We have to constantly charge the battery because waiting on the fuel pump to load seems to run down the battery too. We have had several minor mechanics look at it. One that had the equipment but wasn't a "FORD" specialist said he could get the van to start if the engine was warm. But his diagnostic tests couldn't tell him why it would start when the engine was cold. Any helpful ideas would b appreciated.
