Recently had new starter, alternator, flywheel, and clutch installed. Everything worked for about 2 weeks, but now when I go to turn over the engine it shorts out. The new battery only registers about 8 volts now, and each system can run independently (cab lights, external, signals, etc.) but multiple systems short out. I really don't have any experience here and don't know where to begin (I have checked the fuses, they are ok). Any help is appreciated, and I am searching for the electrical diagrams online. Thanks.

O.K. First off, forget about finding schematics (wiring diagrams) online. What I've found about automotive maintenance online, is everyone wants to charge you! From the sounds of your problem, I would say, check the routing of your starter cable, they probably pinched it somewhere, up against the frame, & it's shorting-out! And, that's causing a constant draw on your battery. Also, if you want to locate good schematics free! Go to your local library, & some of them offer this. Good luck! Elwood
