All we really know it as is the 2.0L FS engine. And of course the J-Spec FS-ZE. If you want to read a little about it, check out this page. It doesnt go into a huge amount of detail on it, but it gives you some insight on mazda 4 cylinders and what cars used them. Hi, I'm new to the list. I'm thinking of buying a Probe, and I'd like to get a four cylinder so I can wup up on Honda's on the same playing field. What is the four cylinder in the 93+ Probe related to? Is it Mazda, and if so, Miata? Is the engine pretty stout, as I would like to run 12s with a TKT turbocharger system? And lastly, can somebody point me to a website that will give me plenty of information? Scottie

The engine is exactly the same as the mx6 engine and it is a bored out version of the miata engine. There is going to be lots of work to be done though to compete against hondas and if you want to go turbo charge go to jeff knight he has the best kit for the probe I have some info on his turbo kit for the probe on my web site. http://users.twave.net/johnb 95 base probe j-spec atx bro speed header akimoto intake custom exhaust and sound system
