We've seen Ford service messages saying to replace the FDM, flush the fuel tank and replace the fuel filter to fix the stalling problem. Apparently the FDM sock gets clogged with junk in the tank. Does anyone know what is the "contamination" in the fuel tank that Ford is referring to? Does flushing the tank once take care of the problem?
