will a ford 4.9 L stright 6 cyl enginee fit into any ford ranger?

I don't think the mounts will, but the towers should. You just have to move them to the other set of holes in the frame. I read in one of truck clubs or at Ford Truck Enthusiasts about this. FTE has a lot of useful info on several modifications to the old F100s. I have a '65 that was a V8 truck w/the FE and they put a 302 Auto in and the trans crossmember doesn't line up. It is too far forward so I checked the holes and mine were in the right place so I have other problems. The driveshaft is also too short since the tranny is too far forward.
