this may sound stupid, but why not just get an aftermarket one? It'll have more power than a factory one so why not? jay

Well I my car has been broken into twice and they have stolen the aftermarket cd player each time. A car alarm did not help either.

detachable face helps sometimes :) also, cant remember the brand, but if the power is disconencted from them the unit is inoperatable until a certain code is punched in .. thus, making the unit useless to whoever may be habitually stealing your aftermarket cd players :) abe 93 pse

Awia is made by Sony. If you take it apart you will that Sony is written all over it. Awia is a good product but if you are looking for a player that has a det. face and needs a code if the power is lost, Kenwood is your best way to go. But I think a det. face would be good enough. And you might want to tint your windows to make it harder for people to see what is in your car. I have a Sony head unit in my car that has been installed for a little over a year and with my tinted windows no one can see what I have. Matt Knudsen 93 Base with all the goodies
