I just purchased a nice 1994 ford f 150 i like tht ruck, it is an ext cab short bed ext cab 4x4 with matching fiberglass cap and that vent visor in the front over the windshield with 5.0. First question, is it normal for a truck like this to be getting 12 mpg??? and i do mostly highway drinvg with a ligth foot!!! Second question, is it normal for the sterring on these trucks to be loosy goosy and bouncy back and forth real easy or really messed up and if not what can cause this. Third, is it normal for these F 150's with the 5.0 to be dropping out of overdrive to get up a tiny hill or elevation change on the thruway at 70 mph??? my old explorer NEVER dropped out of overdrive on the thruway were i go!!! even with 153,000 miles on it!!!! the thruway ispretty much flat with a few tiny tiny elevation changes nothing that should be knocking the over drive out on this truck!!! and thats it i love the truck but if it is normal to be getting 12 mpg with thi9s thing haha it is going to have a for sale sign REAL soon!!! consiudering an excursion gets 12!!!! thanks for getting back who ever could answer me these question!!! all i can say is hail ford and god bless american cars they are the greatest.. thanks
