My Dad passed away last November and I inherited his 94 Bronco - we are still getting a handle on it. This past week we got a ton of snow and the Bronco was great - until my husband buried it in a snow drift trying to get out of the driveway. He managed to get it out and back to the house but we lost power and steering. We finally got the snow melted and found the fan belt got pushed out of place. Can anyone tell me how to loosen the fan belt so we can get it back into place and get the truck running again? I'll be picking up a Chilton's manual on our next trip to town. Thanks, Sharon

This is an easy fix. You should have a serpentine belt(one belt drives everything). To get it running again, take a 3/8" ot 1/2" socket wrench or breaker bar and use it to loosen the belt tensioner. The tensioner has a square hole the socket wrench will fit in. pull the wrench with one hand to releive tension, while re- align belt with the other. I would recommend replacing the belt, since it prolly got damaging when it came off. Hope that helps.
