I have a 94 SE (125,000) My light started to flash and now the car jumps when it hits 2nd(automatic) Please tell me I don't need a new tranny. Is this just a computer malfunction or am I in trouble.

there's another e-mail going around about this, but i'll give u the bad news in case you haven't read the other posts yet...you need a new tranny...i'm sure of this because of your symptoms...this is very common among probes and the '93 is the only model not prone to this problem Ralph

um.......i have a 93 that jumps into 2nd also, does that mean i'm screwed too? it's only got 50k miles on it jay 93 se

one more thing..........my overdrive light has NEVER flashed. thought that was strange seeing everyone elses did when their car jumped into 2nd gear. Any ideas? jay 93 se

Hay Jay, I have a 95 SE and in May of last year my O/D light started to flash. Only did this for a couple of days. Then it went away, then a week later it came back and never went away again. I took my car into the Ford dealership, they said I needed a new tranny. My O/D gear was shot and some kind of shaft was cracked. I only had about 50k on my car at the moment. I hope this works out.
