Does anyone have any experience with removing the flexible pipe in front of the muffler? I replace this piece with an after market part on an otherwise good exhaust system about 2yrs ago and now it is broke again. I local muffler shop told me that he replaces that section with a rigid pipe. Will this cause any problems down the road with anything? (broken pipes, hangers, manifold etc.) 93 3.0L Thanks Dave k

The flex pipe is there for a reason. Ask him how long he's willing to warantee the rigid pipe replacement and whether he'll replace things damaged by using it. If you decide to go that route get the warantee in writing, you'll need it.
