Hi all ...<br>Im thinking of buying a 96 ford contour gl, 2 litre , manual transmission . it is very reasonably priced , i have driven it and it seems to handle quite well . can anyone let me know if i am about to purchase a dud or is it generally a decent car , spare parts not too expensive etc .. one last thing ..it's very hot where I live so a reliable ac unit is imperitive.<br>I would appreciate any commnets or experiences or comments anyone has .

hi there, i have a 96 Contour GL that i've had for 3.5 years and it truly is the best car i've ever owned...parts are hard to change in some cases and sometimes hard to find depending on where you are..as far as A/C, it still is as cold today with 73500 miles on it that it was the day i bought it...if you have any questions about this car let me know...the only difference will be your manual tranny

hi , thanks for the info .<br>I am a uk expat currently working in Bahrain . <br>I am hoping to take it back with me but although we have similar model called the mondeo , I am not sure if they are one and the same . Really I am just wunderin whether parts will be a difficulty to get hold of in the UK . I have managed to get some info re Bahrain and parts are quite expensive . If you do have any more info , that would be cool otherwise thanks very much
