K&N filters have a bad reputation among people the really care about the filtration function- specifically moderators on the diesel thread of peachparts.com. I haven't used K&N, and wouldn't have anyway to measure filtration anyway. The biggest bang for the buck on a pickup truck is to put a bed cover on, or if you use the bed a lot, put a slotted air tailgate on.

I just wanna tell you that if you use the bed a lot, put a slotted air tailgate on.
