I'm looking for a cheap runabout just now and I've seen a couple that I fancy selling on eBay. I've never bought a vehicle via eBay before, so I wondered if anyone had any tips for me?

I've never thought about buying a car on ebay. I think I'd be hesitant to do it, maybe if it were local and easy to see the car. Do car dealers sell cars on ebay?

Yes that's right Ruby, there are dealers who sell on there as well as private sellers. I'm looking at one which is a private sale at the moment. Wish me luck!

Your best bet is to try and do it locally, or at least somewhere in the same country so you don't have all the hassle of trying to import a vehical. When you're dealing with such a large sum of money as well (I persume we're not talking 50$) it's very important to make sure that the seller is someone you can trust.

I would agree locally would also be the best bet. I honestly would have to drive and see a car before I would buy one.

I only know of one person that ever bought a vehicle off eBay and it cost him a fortune to get it transported to his house because it was so far away. Local would be the best way to go, IMO.
