thanks fordprobeman, i think ill try replacing it then. how much do they cost? and do you have an idea as to why my car dies sometime on startup? i have brand new spark plugs, ignition wires.. could it be the fuel pump? fuel filter? fuel injectors? i have no clue and i would rather get advice here than to pay some mechanic 75 bucks an hour to try and figure it out. thanks

I replaced my plug wires, ignition coil, spark plugs, fuel filter, distributor, and rotor. I finally replaced the MAF and everything worked as soon as I replaced it. The MAF is $160.00 from Ford. I got it for $39.00 because I'm cool with the owner. fordprobeman
