My guage is not working either. It is the sender unit. You need to drop the tank. It is with the pump, I think. On my 91 explorer, the sender unit will cost me about $145 with tax. Sounds to be a fun expensive job. Trivett 91 Explorer 4X4 Sport 4.0 V6

I just had the fuel pump replaced. Would that include the sending unit. Is the sending unit a seperate peice or is it in the same unit as the pump.

I'm thinking they are separate pieces. They at the parts store told me that if i bought the sending unit for $145, it would not include the fuel pump. Sounds like two different pieces to me. I hope this helps you out.
