Hey everyone, how are ya? My Escape is still fairly new, i haven't hit 5000 kms yet, but i think i am getting unusally low fuel mileage. It is working out to something like 20L/100km (13 miles to the gallon). I realize that in winter it is worse and so on, but i was wondering what everyone else is getting for mileage. And does anyone know what Ford lists the estimated fuel mileage at? Perhaps i am calculating it wrong. Just in case i am, here is an example, tell me what you get. I travelled 64 kms on 13 litres of fuel. Thanks Darren

You are getting 20.63 L/100 km or as I like to express it 14 miles per gallon (imp) or 11.7 miles per gallon (US) The V6 4x4 should get (if memory serves me right) 21 mpg (imp) city and 31 mpg (imp) highway. I get the 21 mpg city and always have. The best that I have done highway is 28 mpg. Winter is a bad time to measure gas mileage. They also say that you get your best mileage after 10,000 kms but mine was good right from the start. Here's one of many good sites to calculate yor fuel economy: http://www.canadiandriver.com/tools/index.htm (It also has some good articles on vehicles) Gary
