Will be doing an engine swap on my 95 Thunderbird 4.6 - Replacing it with a 2002 Mustang Saleen S281 SC (A supercharged 4.6) Have been able to figure out adaptations for the harness, PCM, and ignition systems, but I am looking for ideas on the fuel system. The origanal 4.6 in the 95 T-Bird has a return fuel system. The 2002 is returnless and I am looking for suggestions on conversion. Thanks

Robin the owner of a NOS/Turbo 2.0L Probe claims that our cars are good for a 80hp shot of NOS with no fuel upgrades. If and when I get a NOS kit I will certainly not jet it to 80hp from the beginning and neither do I recommend it. After some time monitoring the fuel pressure and other parameters during NOS injection, I will make my own desisions on whether or not to "up the juice". Regarding the turbo, I would say you might be safe running a low boost turbo application (~5psi) with the stock pump, but I would not chance it. Note that some sort of upgraded fuel pressure regulator will be a necessity though. Of coarse, I certainly plan on starting with a low boost application, but certainly plan to up the boost as well. I plan on meeting my fuel needs with the Walbro 190 fuel pump, as the PGT and PSE use the exact same fuel pump and to me this is the "cleanest" way to upgrade. Bryan Pendleton >

What's up Kevin, Here's the bottom line......HORSEPOWER IS A DRUG! Even though the 2.0 and 2.5 have the same fuel pumps, it would be wise to good ahead and upgrade while it is a concern. Because, it is a garuntee that once you reach 210hp, before you know it, your on your quest for 250hp, and beyond. If I were you, I'd go ahead and upgrade to the Walbro (I think Ross is doing a bulk buy now), and get it over with. ~ Torrienta Torrienta's 2.0 Performance Page http://www.geocities.com/Motorcity/1377.html DON'T FORGET TO SIGN MY GUESTBOOK

Windsor or cleveland? How big is the carb? What are your goals for the cars performance?
Decent driving with 600cfm and mild cam and good milage. Wild cam and 700-750cfm for more power. both can run off mech pump, but electric is more trouble free. (pressure should stay low around 6ft/lbs. Are you asking how to setup the carb or just fuel delivery to carb?

For the past few years I've had real good luck using just a Holley Blue pump. There are better/more higher $$$ pumps out there but the Blue works great for a street/strip car. Just my 2 cents :-)

Tater
