Hi Everyone, Just wanted to tell you about a great website for finding good gas prices in your area (you can also post prices), and also you can keep track of your mileage (how many gallons you use, how much it costs, how good of MPG you get, etc. if you become a member (FREE). You can either go to www.gasbuddy.com and follow the site from there, or else www."yourstate"gasprices.com, as in fill in your state in the "yourstate" part (ie: Nebraska, Montana, Colorado, etc). Just wanted to tell everyone about this site - kind of a fun and economical way to track prices.

Looks like the trend setter is a very interesting person. I've heard that a little deal was made to hopefully bring the prices down. There's a web site where you can name what price you wanna pay for things...priceline.com I think...and yes, you can name gas prices. I'm not quite sure how that works...but they said you can do it just about anywhere in the U.S. What they really need to do is start purchasing oil from Russia....they'll have to ship it over for a while until they get some pipes run...but I'm willing to bet that the prices could still be lower...and Russia isn't even close to running out of oil:) Carolyn

Some people just don't get it. Come on people! Your too smart to believe this crap will work. This is one of the biggest joke e-mails I have ever come across. Unless you people are prepared to quit driving on these three days and DO NOT FILL UP with what you need the day before the fast, this WILL NOT WORK! All you are doing is changing the day you are purchasing gas and not the average amount consumed for the week. The oil producing countries and companies know we are hooked and changing their delivery schedules will not affect how they do business. Come on people, wake up. This is a ridiculous idea dreamed up by someone who hasn't a clue about the markets, production, and supply in demand. Please pass this on so this senseless way of thinking and chain letter is stopped. If you really want to make a difference, carpool with 3 other people for a week. Cut all of your driving down to one day, for getting groceries, etc. no trips or joy rides, and no filling with gas. That will cut personal usage by nearly 75 percent. Thanks. Phil

THANKS FOR THE FLAME!!! Do I think it will work of course not. People dont believe it will work and so it shall fall to the waste side. But along with that if you really do it what harm could come of it??? Look and some of the pass incidences that have caused price to go up i.e. Valdez crash. That made non Exxon stations prices rise $.25 in HI when I was there. Was the price hike required due to the lower supply for the amount of demand. NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some people will try to use any excuse to regenerate increased profits. OPEC is not withstanding. OPEC controls the Petrol depended North America. Have you been doing your part to help lower price, I have! One Stang has come off the road. The wife and I try to use only one of the our two remaining stangs when at all possible. This week I even broke out the Cannondale from the garage to ride the 2 mile into work each day. This was also in part to the increase in petroleum products besides the fact the riding season is almost among us here in the Northeast but that for another mailing list. Now lets look at this from a logical stand point. What can we as consumers do to right this situation. 1. Consume less Caarpool, use mass transit, do something healthy for a change like walk or ridea bike, purchase a motorcycle, get another car beside a Mustang with btter MPG rating, etc.... 2. Voice our opinions. We here in CT have the highest gas tax in the union. Every time there increase such as this we feel it more because if the higher taxes. Therefore we have been more vocal about this issue. What happen, the governor has repealed $.05 from the gas tax as of 01 APR. The same thing happened last year this time but prices were more reasonable if you ask me. So what does this mean to the rest of you; voice your opinion during this piss ant worth less Gas Out, write your congress persons, etc. You have a right to free speech and the right to pursue happiness and if this makes you happy so be it. I thought it would be nice to see if this could even make it around. Apparently it has since its listed in the urban legends web page. I didnt right damn the email and I hate receiving junk email more then most people since I can receive up to 200 emails a day from 10 different mailing list, hence the reason for the hotmail account. But I did think this was cute and could be another potential avenue for some (not all) consumer to pursue if they so wish to do so. Oh and by the way I DO GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eric Reyst i'm iN A RUSH r u iN A RUSH 2? Some people just don't get it. Come on people! Your too smart to believe this crap will work. I AM SURPRISED AND TOTALLY SHOCKED, to see this! I'll tell you EXACTLY what I was "thinking" and and I'll even tell you what I DID!!! I am EVEN MORE SHOCKED that you decided my transgressions were so severe that on behalf of all of Stangdom you found it necessary to call my integrity into question by dispatching a post lumping me with "hasn't a clue about the markets, production, and supply in demand" to the entirety of mailing list. WHAT were YOU thinking? Why not just express your concerns to me privately and get a private answer? These list devolves into personal vendettas far too often. I guess I never anticipated a knee jerk reaction such as that. That is WHY I offered to put a bland post on the list looking to see what the better ideas could be found out there. For you all to pick apart, here is what has occured. Tell me where I am wrong, please, so I never do it again. That is the reason for my follow up:
