hi everyone

i have a ford fiesta zetec 2003 model 1.4 petrol and i am finding it really hard to shift the gear into 3rd and 4th and can't even get it in to 5th or reverse can any body help me with this problem thank you

sounds like you need to be getting your car along to a garage pronto as that's not going to be an easy problem to look at at home, and it does need fixing. You wouldn't want to get yourself into a situation where you needed to move the car but couldn't reverse! You could also find that it'll get worse, and cause further damage if you continue driving on it. If you're able to top up the gearbox oil yourself on this model you might want to try doing so before taking it along to the garage as if the problem is due to dirt rather than damage the extra lubrication might help.

It does sound like a gearbox problem, I guess there is a chance that it could be the clutch causing problems, but it isn't something you should ignore because it will just get worse and it will probably cost you more in the end.

I don't have a very good idea about gear problem or the clutch problem.But whatever is your problem I feel you should get it repaired very soon
