Well, nobody would argue that the SE is superior or that the base is worst. The way I look at it, the Base is more or less a SE Probe with a 'fugly' front. Actually, it wouldn't even be that ugly if it weren't for the license plate sized amber corner lights. I consider the Base and SE brothers, is just that the Base is the ugly brother of the family. LOL Ok, enough teasing. It's true. Base are Probes and we all should stick together. Unless you have a boxy 1st gen Probe. :D Ok, enough. I have an SE, but I know GT'ers look down on us. Hey, a 40 HP difference is not that hard to overcome (nitrous)... if you've got the cash that is. Long Live The Probers!!! (Yes, Base Probers too) ;)

HOW can you not what type or model of a probe is? if it says GT, its a GT, if it says SE, its an SE, if it says nothign and has the ugly front end, its a 93-96 base, if it has a GT front and doesnt say anything, its a 97 base and so on! O.K.! Here's the thing I don't thing my car is ugly so that is all that matters! But you shouldn't say anything bad about someone else's car. We all have Probes and the outside world looks at our cars as a whole, so we such stick together and respect everyone else. I have been to 2 Probe meets and all of the GT guys stick together and I have been looked at as an outsider because I don't have a GT. One thing that I want to happen is for the SE guys turn their backs on me. I know and have always known that my car is not the best looking Probe and have looked into a new front end but I bought my car that way and will continue to love it for what it is. And that is what you should respect!! Would you think any differently if got a GT front end or a shogun front end? But it would still be a base with a different front end. Sorry for being so long. Out of all the Probes I've owned, 2 SE's and 1 base. Even though it came totally stripped with no options what so ever I liked the base the most, it being my first new used car to purchase, and it by far felt like it had the strongest and most taken care of engine of the bunch. Sure after I wrecked it I wanted an SE front end on it, but from the drivers seat, I would of never been able to tell what kinda of front end was on it, but the car ended up getting totaled and I got an SE. Either way the Base is just as good if not better then the SE in my opinion. Just my 2 cents. well not ALL GT owners look down on the 2.0 owners, I had an SE not too long ago and for a 4 banger, it DID have some "go" to it.......so just because i have a GT don't think that i'm gonna look down on ya, cause a probe is a probe how ever you look at it. jay 93 GT
