A few weeks ago one of the lights (LED's?) behind the gauges on the right went out. I thought, no big deal, everything's still clear and legible...well last night another bulb went out! This one takes out from about the 70 mph mark on the spedometer all the way to the right end of the HUD. Darkness is encroaching on my explorer quickly now. Does anybody have any idea what types of lighting are used back there, or of any way to get back behind that damn dash to replace them? Thanks in advance! Dustin

What year truck? I had to pull the dash partly apart on my 92 to replace busted headlight switch. It wasn't real evident how it came apart - but I got a print out from the dealer (parts dept) of exploded view of dash. They get it when they're looking for a part# and can print it for you. Helps to see which pieces are one and which aren't. If I find it it the next day or two I can recommend where to start. >spikely1515 writes: > A few weeks ago one of the lights (LED's?) behind the gauges on the > right went out. The truck's a '98 4-door XLT. I've looked around and I just don't see anywhere outwardly visible that something comes unsnapped or unscrewed to get behind this devil! Thanks in advance!
