My ignition switch is starting to be a concern, has anyone replaced theirs? How hard is it and how do you do it? My Haynes manual states that dealer should do it. Thanks Jeff 93 Aero

I know that the ignition switch was recalled on several years of Aerostars. Mine is a 1990 and I had to take it to the dealer some time back and get the ignition switch replaced due to the recall. I think that some of the used to short out and catch the vans on fire. Chris

I remember that recall, the dealer didn't replace my keyed switch just added a relay under the dash. I'll check for recalls though. Jeff >
