I was wondering if it is reasonable to purchase aftermarket lightweight pistons. I know that they relieve some stress on the engine making it perform better but I am not sure if it effects it enough to go through the hassle of installing them. Thanks

Casey

Unless you plan to go to forced induction later, they aren't worth the cost or effort. Installing them involves tearing down much of the engine. If you do plan to go to forced induction, you should upgrade your heads first, and when you do that, then would be the best time to upgrade the pistons. In fact you should go with all forged internals, not just pistons. Hope this helps,

Kenny
