I have problems finding a place to fix my SVT's sunroof in the Miami metro area. The sole mention of the word "sunroof" seems to insult all garage managers and I am affraid of going to a Ford dealership service center for the obvious reasons.

A friend down here found my a new sunroof in excellent conditions in a junkyard so basically all I need is someone to replace the whole thing.

Any suggestions?

have you considered a salvage yard, you know, while shopping for a project car with my friend, we came across a complete starion trashed after only 3k miles. if you want some serious help contact a nationwide parts locater, because your intercooler will cost enough that they will do it for free. and don't forget the chrysler conquest, same setup. Original Article: http://www.egroups.com/list/2literprobes/?start=209 > Can anyone tell me where I can get a Starion intercooler for my 2.0L Probe project turbo? ~ Torrienta Pappageorgio > > Torrienta Pappageorgio "From Chicago" > Torrienta's 2.0L Probe Performance Page > http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/1377/ > torrienta@... > DON'T FORGET TO SIGN MY GUESTBOOK >

Check your headlight dimmer switch on the floor - get a new one at advance auto for cheap. For signals, check all connections, flasher under dash and connection under hood right where steering shaft comes for the other side of the dash. Had a similar problem on my '66.
stephenlassiter1

Try running a groung strap from your rad core support to the neg. post of the battery. I just fixed the same problem. I also had to unbolt the headlight ground wires and crimp on new Eyelets. Bad grounds can do wierd things.

Terasa,

The gap is .024-.026"; dwell is (at idle) 35-38 degrees. Timing for your truck (man. trans) is 6 deg. BTDC. Hope that helps! :)

Take care,
Dan

Thanks Dan and David. David, nice to meet you! Dan...what are you doing over here? Are you hiding a bronco in the garage too that maybe the truck guys dont know about?:)
Anyways, thanks a lot for the replies...I got the truck up and running again...better than ever, (I'll admit it bugs me an irrational amount when its not running just perfect).

the bronco is running great too, Im just finishing up adjusting the doors so I can fit a new roof, and sorting out the remaining wiring. I'll be picking out new paint colors before you know it!

Terasa

Hi Terasa,

Glad the Merc is happy again. I'm over here because I recently got the bug to get a Bronco - don't have one yet. So hopefully I will have one hiding in the garage before too long. I'd like to get a 6 cyl. 3 speed, basically stock, in "driver" condition (solid but not gorgeous). To do this I will also need to squeeze some cash out of the woodwork, or consider trading one of my '64 pickups.

It also helps that, as I just learned, I live about two miles from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. It would be nice to have some knowledgeable folks so close. :)

Take care,
Dan

lucky lucky you...I always end up having to scrounge the used parts round here or order from washington/oregon.
I'd like another bronco too...similar to what you want, although I like having the V8...again, I guess its a money thing, I might sell the one Ive got and start over...the half doors and soft top werent really made for the weather here (whine whine whine, I know:)I shouldnt complain, merc is fun to drive too, its just I moved the bronco yesterday, and what can I say, driving it just felt so "right":)

Yes, I guess I'm parts vendor rich and Bronco poor... ;)

Wouldn't it be possible to get the full doors and top for your Bronco? I know you said it was running propane - did you find the info you were looking for on Slick60s?

Dan
