Drives: 1995 Ford Aerostar XLT 4.0L V6 AWD
Location: Ohio-USA
I am not sure which is more frustrating. Trying to get the motor off or finding the appropriate answer. I have spent hours on both!

Removing Starter motors on 3.0L Aerostars are a breeze. Trying to get them out of an Aerostar 4.0L with All Wheel Drive is a royal PITA. ALL THE WAY ROUND!

HELP!!!!!! How do I get the motor out? I was able to unhook it from the flywheel housing. And able to get some of the wiring off. But the exhaust pipe and the front wheel drive shaft? BLOCK removing the starter motor's removal from its berth!

Why did Ford do this??????
