My 88 Bronco still isn't starting. In fact it is worse. My fuel pump quit kicking on. I traced the red/ltblue wire from my ignition switch and tested it for continuity. So far I have continuity all the way through the firewall, through the two plugs, past the fusible link, all along the underbody up to the fuel tank. I am confused. First the Haynes manual says the red/ltblue wire from the ignition switch should go to the neutral/park switch, to the starter solenoid or starter relay. How did I go so wrong to end up at the fuel pump? Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows the true wiring to my bronco. I desperately want to get it back up and running. Does anyone know what color the wire will be returning from the feul pump? I really would rather test around it than to take the damned tank off.

Continuity is great, but you have to have fire in the wire for it to do anything. fords are notorious for getting corrosion on the spade plugs on the relays under the hood. flip on your ignition and go around and wiggle all the wires going into all the little black relay boxes you can find. whack them a couple of times with a screwdriver handle, sometimes the contacts just get crud on them and they wont work. You've got some fuel, you prolly haven't tested the pressure on the line, so it could be an intermittent signal to the pump. When I have spark and SOME fuel, I always think RELAYS first.
