You need to do a couple of things. First, make sure that any wires you had to disconnect when doing the master cylinder replacement got returned or reinstalled. Second if that doesn't yield results, unsnap the brake light connector at the break pedal. With a test light check both sides of the connecor for 12 VDC. One side should have it. If it doesn't you need to find the reason why. That's your culprit. Please do NOT climb under the vehicle with it on blocks and have someone start it and attempt to override the neutral safety switch by moving the linkage from below. This is dangerous. That's why the manufacturers have installed this type of safety device. If the brake lights don't work, it won't come out of PARK. If both brake light bulbs are burned out, it won't come out of PARK. You can also check the brake light fuse in the fuse box. This can cause it. Just don't get under that truck like that.
