just purchased a 96 gl today, wondering if anyone can give me info on where to look for add ons and modification kits for this model? also, anyone with a 96 gl let me know if a should expect any problems with it, its a 2.0 auto?

You can look any where for add on's. Any parts store. I dont know about the auto, mine is a standard and i have had no problems with it. Just make sure that you get the factory recalls as soon as you get them. I have one for the coil springs and i waited for a month, they put the covers on them and they snaped, it was all covered through the recall. Thank god

Right Lookin-Try an auto parts store(s) for add ons. Regarding problems-I don't think the 4 cyl is too bad. You do have a timing belt which will need to be changed at 60,000? miles, parts for repairs may be harder to find and expensive due to the fact the car has been discontinued and Ford is notorious for abandoning cars that didn't do too well/or they no longer make, recalls as previous mentioned and that may be about it.
