Has anyone heard of a supercharger yet for the 2.0l? B/c that would be the way to go instead of turbo. Like honestly look at all of today's new cars..... no ones turbo'ing anymore and all the good turbo cars of the last few years have all been halted in production. IE Supra-RX7-300Z etc.....and all of the major manufacturers are coming out with factory sc kits. I know all of my lob sided opinion is kind of useless untill we find a decent supercharger kit, and that's why im asking. But I trust someone out there is doing it or has done it. Like I have to be completely honest... ive been tempted by turbo here.... I know a guy a GT racing here in vancouver that will turbo my car and build up the engine to push around 13lbs of boost. That's a lot! forsure 250hp at the wheels but he sais it'll cost between 5-5 1/2 G's CDN to do it. I toyed with the idea of turbo'ing the jspec or better yet a 2.0l cossie engine. But 2g's cdn for the Jspec and another 5 or so for safe turbo is not exactly feasable now. and the cossie engine running around 8 g's alone is out of the question. Now the airline i work for is trying to add nagoya japan as a destination, for this summer. So i know it's my job to look into the hydra charger etc.... Don't want to get your hopes up untill its 100% forsure that were going there.... and i would have to brush up my japanese (i dont speak japanese at all!) But we'll see....

Hydracharger, now theres something I haven't herd anything about for a while. Is there any new news about that? I emailed TKT turbos about a supercharger and they replied that they are making a kit and to look for it this may. There is also some guy on Probe talk with a custom installation. But still I think that a turbo would be better. 5,500 canadian is what american, 3,500? that is a steal for 13 PSI.

I Messed up it's not called a hydracharger at all...it's a Japanese Ball-bearing turbocharger..or hybrid turbocharger. The turbo is then alot safer using the ball bearing setup. The bearings also alow alot more boost at low engine speeds. I know of a guy who used this on his mitsu eclipse 2.0 (NON TURBO!)and besides a little work on his computer and the standard engine upgrades, the rest was basically bolt on and fine tune. yeah 5500 cdn is about 3500US. They have them available for alot of japanese cars so all i need to do is find out whether one was made for the mx-6. >
