My base probe has 70,000 some odd miles on it and I'm considering some mandatory engine maintence... timing belt etc or runing the engine to failure and replacing it with a jspec, either way I intend to put the jspec in.... any thoughts on the best course of action? And I remember reading something about awd for the capella, did anyone finally decide if that was possible and cost feasible? Thanks for your help, Will Hauser 93 Base Probe

I think it was decided that the AWD probe falls into the anything is "po$$ible" category. What I want to hear more about is the turbo manifold from the capella.

What I want to hear more about is the turbo manifold from the capella. This is a dumb question. What is a capella, and are you speaking of the intake manifold or the exhaust? Cottie

A Capella is a Japanese car that uses the FSZE J-spec engine. There are two options for this car that could be really cool. The first, and least practicle, is the Capella has an AWD tranny that should fit on the probe. The second, and more practicle option comes from the turbo diesel varient of the engine - taking the turbo manifold (exhaust) and bulting it on to an American 2.0L. The problem is that it has never been done, and while it should work in theory who knows in real life. The advantage would be an inexpensive turbo option for all 2.0L owners. When this was first brought up back in september I was really excited, but all news quickly fadded away. --Cottie (is it 'coat-y' or 'cot-y'?) no one likes an asshole.
