Good evening gentlemen, I have a little question that I am hoping you might all be able to help me with... Back in the day I was the very, very proud owner of an 88 T-Bird 5.0 . She was Marroon with a Grey int. GT Rims, Flowmasters, true duals and so on and so forth... Anyways my T-Bird fell a sad death due to being T-Boned... I am 100% going to be purchasing another 88 5.0 T-Bird, but this time I would like to find one in a Tan-ish Champaign color with a Tan or Grey int. (guts) Did the 5.0 in 88 come in either of those color match's with all of the bells and whistles? (Being Tan outside, and either Grey or Tan inside...) I am hoping to have all of them again in my next Baby. (ie. moonroof, dual power seats, keyless entry, leather, etc.) I have found that the White Birds came with Blue guts, and the Silver and Gray ones came with Blue or Marroon guts, as well as the dark Blue ones having Blue guts, and the only one that I have found with Grey guts was my own Marroon one... And I have never seen one with a tan interior... Anything that you all might know would help me greatly in my search! Thank you all and have a nice evening.

The only tan interiors I have seen close to your 88' is in an 89' but unfortunatly they changed the body and interior that year from what you have. You could go to a local parts store or even craft store and purchase interior spray. I have used it before and does the job right. Just sanding before spraying helps, no primer needed. Good luck.

I've got the same setup you used to have. '88 5.0 maroon out and grey in. As far as what you are looking for...I haven't ever seen a sport coupe either 87' or 88' in that color scheme. However, I have seen a Turbo Coupe with exactly those colors. I used to have a TC and I loved it. I wish my Sport Coupe was a 5 speed like my TC was. As far as the performance difference, I wouldn't own a TC with an auto transmission simply because you can get a little better take off etc. with the stick. and in my TC I adjusted many attitues of mustang and camaro owners.<br><br>Hope this helps.
