Has anyone had any experience with a K&N air filter with the 3.0v6? If so is there a noticeable difference in power or gas mileage? Or does anyone know of other relatively inexpensive kits to increase airflow??? I have a 2000 Ranger Supercab 5-speed stick.

That's a really great idea-- I saw someone else do that on therangerstation.com and it looked good-- nice to hear that it actually does.<br>Related, can anyone tell me how much of a difference they saw when they just installed the K&N filter by itself (no extra mods)? I have a 1990 Ranger, 4 cylinder, 2.3L 2WD (but I would be inter4ested in hearing anyone's stories after just installing that filter). Thanks.....(ed)

I put in a drop in K&N air filter in my 95 probe. with any drop in filter you're really not going to feel any change. But the prosses was very easy. Just take the cover of take out the old and put in the new, then snap the cover back on. Gary

I hava a k&n filtercharger in my 94 se and it is a simple process, no actual mod necessary. Unclip the intake box and open it up, take out the old, and drop in the new. thats it. Not a major difference, but the throttle response is noticeably better. Dominick........
