I have a 93 tbird with the V8 302. I ordered a 9" cone air filter for it. I tried to put it on and it is too long. Anyone have an idea on how to make it fit? I can go to the 7" filter. Would like to keep the 9" one. It doesn't fit into the area where the old filter box is. Or now gone. Would I have to cut the duct from the MAF to throttle body to make it fit? Then the MAF will not be in the correct place. I could sure use some help form someone that has done this upgrade. Thanks!

I used a 7" on my '89SC, it fit very easily, no mods needed. After the swap I contemplated a 9" but it won't fit in the space. 'bird
