Hi, new member, just bought a 2000 explorer sport. I have no onwer's manual, but i did buy a haynes book. my problem is the keypad access, i bought froma lot, they didn't know the code, but said it's maybe inside the door jambs or the jack compartment. is it handwritten? or a sticker? anyway if anyone knows where i could look, or how to reset the code i'd be very grateful, thanks

thanks everyone.  I just got off the phone witha  local ford dealer, he said they stopped putting the code on the car (i.e. the reaer wheel well) and the only way to get it is to bring it in and they hook up to the computer and pull it out, at a cost of $20.00, i looked in the wheel well but i didn't see anything, so maybe i'll just try to crack the code

You could go to www.helminc.com And order all the factory books and manuals, or stop by or call your local Ford dealer. >

I have a 2002 XLT and it has the number on the security module. Mine is located inside the rear passenger side trim.
