Trucks are meant to be BIG, not low. Keep it in the USA as well!

Wrong "o",Trucks are just a car with a bed, E rated tires, stiff suspension. I have a 78 F250 2wd, was so high off the ground nobody could get in it.Why?? So when the truck was loaded, it drove level.Dumb engineers,Lowered truck 5" in the front and 4" in the rear. Now carries more pounds, corners like a corvett. You have to deside
the role for your truck. There is no wrong or right.Just common sense.

It's definitely all about personal taste, if you want to slam the truck a half inch above the ground, or if you want to drive over cars if need be, it's how you take care of it is what counts (I'll set aside my own personal tastes for the sake of this post). My Ranger is an everyday driver, so lowering wouldn't be the most practical thing in the world, and to turn the thing into a mud-bogging monster also wouldn't make much sense, being that it's a 2.3L 2WD. Just use the hell out of your truck, take great care of it, and these things will keep us pretty damn happy. Enjoy...(ed)

No, It's about common sense, why does a 2wd truck have to be so high off the ground????? As an employee at Ford, you have to cater to everyone.
Don't make it right though. My mom is 57,my truck is 38" from the ground to the seat.Way to high for some people to get in.Sure put running board on it, to noisey in Wash. rains to much.
My trucks are lifted & lowered to factory spec.
No scraping, just work twice as hard. Have you seen a F250 run 130 mph stock???Out corner sport cars??? Common sense, weighs 600 pounds more than most mustangs.Chew on this for awhile. Truck also gets 12mpg,10mpg driven hard. Have a nice Day!!!

Yes, you're right about common sense--if personal taste supercedes it, well then, that's just being silly. Fitting the truck to one's personal tatse (which should be strived for), mixed with a bit of good-old-fashioned common sense (as you stated), makes one's auto "theirs" (hence personalized) and useful at the same time. Beautiful.
(ed)
