Has anyone ever heard of a tranny temp sensor? Can you use a regular coolant sensor setup? Where could I place the sensor? I want to put one in my C4 auto not that I am completely paranoid about it. Thanks, Mike

I see no reason why your idea wouldn't work. Any engine coolant gauge that has a remote sensor should work fine. I'd punch a hole in the side of the tranny pan (remove the pan first and check for inside clearance) and locate a sealing type thread adaptor that would allow you to tread the sensor into it. If you have a tranny cooler you could put the sensor in the input line. Takes a little ingenuity but you should be able to handle the task.
