Hey, what's up mike? I received my manuals in the mail on Monday. I was wondering, do you work for Ford? I am in need of a Mass Airflow Sensor. Ford wants $161.00 for the darn thing!!!!!!!!! Autozone wants $60.00 for it, the brand is Cardone. Should I get the sensor from Ford? I usually like to use genuine Motorcraft parts. There is a $100.00 difference between the two brands. Does it matter if I use the Autozone brand or should I use the Motorcraft sensor? I'm having a hard time figuring this out. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Andre

Andre....how is your car behaving. My car spent the entire day in the shop, and they still arent sure whats wrong. I'm getting a lean reading, and they think it might be my MAF, or my EGR valve. Let me know, it may help me remedy whats wrong with my car. Thank you!!!! Carolyn 96 SE

Try cleaning the MAF elements with some carb cleaner. See http://www.probetalk.com/ubb/Forum5/HTML/000129.html for details. Bill

Hey Carolyn!!!!!! I'm still waiting for the MAF sensor to come in. I unplugged the MAF and the car started responding to the accelerator. When it was plugged in, the car would stall when I hit the accelerator. That's leading me to believe the problem is the MAF. Let me know what's going on with your car!!!!!!! Andre
