Sounds like one of three problems I've had. On my 99, it only groaned turning left and Ford never did find the problem. On the '00 groaned both directions and was told to replace the power stearing fluid. That didn't help(and its a major hassle). I had the CV joints greased and that appeared to fix it. So maybe if you have the CV joint greased on that side, that might fix it. Larry Bledsoe 2000 Windstar LX

Thanks for the tips. I have 113,000 miles on the van and am sure the fluid has never been replaced or anything done with the CV joints. There is no signs of fluid leakage (at least on the ground) but will check it out. Ken Caldwell
