I'm going to be changing my oil tommarow, and wanted to know what type of Mobil 1 synth you guys reccomend for a 2.0l in Florida? 10w30? Also, Do I need to replace the oil filter when I change from Dyno to Synth? If so, whats a good filter? I was thinking of just running to the local Auto parts store and grabbing one of there top of the line ones. They are cheap anyways. How many quarts does the 2.0l need anyways? Well, wish me luck that I wont have any leaks with the better oil! Cya and Thanks. Dan Isenberg

You should ALWAYS replace the filter when you change your oil, regardless of what kind you use. The old rule of thumb of every other time just doesn't cut it if you want your engine to last more than 100,000 miles. I prefer the 5w30 Mobil1, but 10w30 is fine for your climate. -Rick '93 Probe Base (4 cyl.) 107.7k miles (BAPOC - Bay Area Probe Owners Club) ClutchMasters Stage1, 15x7 Tri-spoke rims w/ 225/50-15 tires, KYB, Intrax, GReddy (sold), Full Custom for 4 cyl. HS Intake (sold), Pioneer/Sony/Kenwood sounds, K&N Drop-in Next: Replacing with '99 Mercury Cougar V6 (Autumn Orange?), Dodge Avenger (Paprika), or Dodge Neon ACR in the not too distant future http://www.primenet.com/~rickyj/probe just a start...
