I have a 2000 v-6 mustang and have a question about a modification. I have seen that some people have removed the air silencer on their mustangs. I was wondering what this does, and also if anyone know how to do it. I assumed it just made a deeper exhaust sound but am not sure. I was considering to do it myself and was wondering if anyone could help me out. Thanks

The air silencer is a big air restriction, however, this is only a problem with the 86-93 5.0 models, the air silencer on the 94 and up V6 mustangs actually acts as a cold air induction, so don't remove it or you will lose power.
