Well, thanks for the info on all the ignition systems. What about using it with the wires with thrier own capacitors? Will that cause problems? And nobody mentioned MSD. I am under the impression that their ignition style (ie: multiple short bursts instead of one powerful burst) was the best. Let me know.

I have a complete MSD systen on my car and I love it. I have the MSD 6AL and the super hvacc coil. It cost about $325 for all of it, but the uses are great. I can add RPM activated swithes, Boost Timing Modules, it leaves upgrades an easy option. I don't like the Crane. I also run MSD on my Camaro, and everyone I know uses the MSD. Not to knock the Crane, but MSD makes ONE thing IGNITIONS and when you specialize, you tend to do it better. Steve

I mounted my MSD in the fender right behind the battery. I mounted it above the windshield washer fluid reservoir. It's really a shame to hide it but there was no place under the hood to mount it. It could go on the firewall above the brake booster but I felt the heat from my headers coming straight up might be too much. Jim Cotney 95 GT conv. whippled

I have seen many supercharged mustangs with the boxes mounted behind the driver's seat. I had my Crane hi-6 box mounted on the inside transmission "hump" on the front passenger side. Less wire to run. :) I would be less worried about the visiblity under the hood, but very concerned about moisture problems.. Someone had once sold a mounting plate for under the battery box. Still, I like mine nice and dry on the inside of my car. I have had my Crane hi-6 running with zero problems since July of 1998 when the heads, cam, and intake were all installed on my car. Good luck! John Chleapas '87 LX
