'95 4.6 needs good muffler/exaust. I've a loewred thermometer, 180 derees. I have plans to open her up with a K&N air fuel filter and add the piggy back superchip. I'd like to achive 240+hp to the wheels. any tips?

I have a '94 lx with the 4.6 I used the dynomax cat back kit and it seemed to help it takes it awhile to break in. After about 5000 miles you get a decent sound. I've been told that the dynomax kit is the best flowing for our cars. I'd recommend cash flow and emissions permitting that you go have true duals ran cutting out the cat and resonator. I've also put on a k&n filtercharger kit, I definitly recommend. The car became alot more responsive and mpg went up. I've ordered a superchip and gone through two and they haven't worked. Superchips rewrote the program and I have to go get chip #3. so we'll see. Our cars only put out around 160-170 rwhp. achieving 240rwhp requires either a supercharger or nitrous or some extensive motor work. good luck and keep your mods posted and how they work.

I appriciate the help. the cats have been removed and will proceed to puy the dyno's on with the k&n. after that, we'll see lt project:...breaking into 200rwhp is high on my priority list. I've a set of cobra 17's ready to slap on (though I'd really like a set of Momo Arrows), then drop 'er an inch and a half..superchager? damn. muchos delores.

gonna look good with cobra's on it. i have 17inch synper AR's. I'm looking to lower mine 2" with intrax springs but there hard to find. I got my third superchip which is supercrap. I 've had nothing but problems, could be my computer but the car runs great without the chip in. I've heard of a chip for the bird's called an inkjet which is supposed to be the bomb. You can get info at www.tccoa.com along with alot of t'bird info. 200rwhp is alot for these cars without major work but good luck and post the outcome I'd like to hear about the mods. One mod to be careful with is putting on pulley's our cars have weak charging systems and if you have some high powered stereo equipment you could have problems. if you have any questions about the stereo in these cars or any other that's my field of business.

The chip is actually called inject-tech, but unfortunately you can't get them anymore. I have one and it's awesome.
