I have a 1970 Mustang convertible with a 351W engine with moderate to severe front end damage. The local bondo shop wants $10K (to give you an idea of the extent of the damage).  We've come into the money and want to do it but I don't like the idea of ANY bondo so I'm thinking replacement fenders, hood etc. frame will probably need straightening. I've heard a few horror stories about fenders that don't match up very well and would appreciate any advice and, in particular, recommendations for somebody that can do it.   I'm on the left coast and will get the thing towed someplace within reason, say the eleven western states and maybe even Mexico.  I'd love to consider Cuba, because their reputation is the best but that's out of the question. It's pretty much  stock 4 bbl with mellow mufflers and goes like hell.

There is a body shop in, of all places, Caldwell, Idaho, that does restorations.  The guy only charges $25/hr, for the restoration work.  There is also a Mustang Salvage yard in Boise.  They are called Atwood Auto.  They may have the fenders and other parts that you are looking for, but one would have to find a resource to look for it.  If necessary, I may be able to go see if the parts you need are available, but I will have to look the restoration shop up and send you the number. The guy does beautiful work. --Jason
